Tell your husband to spend as much time as possible at the Bunaken Island marine park. It is fabulous.<BR/><BR/>@ napaboaniya - Umm, yeas. I guess you could say we like diving. ;-}<BR/><BR/>@ Chris - Yes, you are right. That color is uncommon in nature -- at least for critters. I guess it is the right blue -- for that species, at least!<BR/><BR/>@ Pete - Lucky daughters you have to get to play in tide pools. I'm sure the sea stars appreciate being "saved." ;-}<BR/><BR/>@ Jim - To be honest, I DO use two fingers on each hand, most of the time. It's actually quite a common reaction. Try again some time -- someplace sheltered and un-scary.<BR/><BR/>@ Kathy - Sea stars in this genus (<EM>Linckia</EM>) are all kind of plump like this one, and their skin is a bit like textured rubber. Other species in this genus come in different colors - pink, greyish, red, pale green -- even purple!<BR/><BR/>@ ZJ - Your blog always provides a lot of "eye treats," too.
