@ Scotty - I have seen some of the underwater photography on your site, and I thought the same thing: Nice to see another u/w photographer's work on a blog. If you want to start an underwater photography meme, that would be fun, but I doubt you would find many participants, since we're still a minority among photographers. I participate in Wordless Wednesday -- usually as the only underwater photo. Maybe you should give that one a try.

@ Liara - I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "sensing a connection with Atlantis." If you mean that literally, I would have to say, no. When I am underwater, I am very engaged with the reality of what is right there before my eyes.

Hey wow, nice to see another u/w photog in the skywatch crowd...I was starting to think I was the only one. You have some great stuff here...we should start our own blog group, "underwater watch Friday".....that would be cool, heh?

@ Will - Great minds think alike?

@ Pamela - I hate to confirm your suspicions, but you DID miss out!

@ Randall - Red Sea diving, in particular, is superb. Some other areas of the Middle East are not quite as glorious.

@ Stan - Lake Tahoe is very beautiful to look at from the surface, but a little chilly for us Tropical Models to dive in.

@ Shannon - We have indeed seen sharks at Shark Reef on several occasions.

@ kspinning - If you like underwater photos, this is the place. We hope you come back.

@ Jenn - Re the photos, practice, practice, practice! The more you shoot, the better your photos become. (I promise.)

@ Vixen - Those pretty little fishies are called Scalefin Anthias (Pseudanthias squamipinnis). They look a lot like goldfish and they are abundant in the Red Sea. If you see an underwater photo with lots of those fish, you can almost bet the picture was taken somewhere in the Red Sea.

@ Tink - That's correct information. The whole area is a marine park and shelling is not allowed, period -- including 'empties'. We do have a few shells from elsewhere in the Red Sea, however -- including an 'Arabian Cowrie' (Cypraea arabica). ;-}
