They only sting in their own defense.<BR/><BR/>@ Lavender - A barn swallow nest on a tropical reef: Now that would be quite a find!<BR/><BR/>@ Mon@rch - As I mentioned above, stingrays are not aggressive, so swimming with them is not dangerous. What you have to watch out for is stingrays that are partly buried in the sand.
