@ Pua - We always have been as cautious as we can be without being ridiculous and -- knock on wood -- so far so good. No accidents or bad experiences with the critters.

Whether or not that stingray shot is good is subjective. I actually really like it. The fact that you can barely see it is a story in the picture... at least to me.
I'd freak out if those sharks were racing towards me. :-D

The question of whether divers and fish bump into one another sounds like one an insistent 5-year-old might ask. Now we know how to answer!
I knew that fish don't have eyelids, and I think I knew that they manage to sleep anyway, but I never knew that they have bedrooms.

Amazing stories about your close encounters with ocean 'critters', like sharks and stingrays.

Seems to me accidents can happen, especially when suddenly facing each other. Lucky you that you always got away safely in all those years of diving the Hawaiian waters.
