Last week I posted a picture of a Green Sea Turtle at Sipadan. This week's WW photo is a Hawksbill turtle. I took the photo in the same area.
Happy Wordless Wednesday.
Bobbie
Love the hawksbill turtle Bobbie, good WW to you!
I love snorkling in Malaysia. But I've not seen a turtle there yet. Perhaps if I ever do scuba diving. It's a beautiful photo.
Makes me want to sing Dr. Suess's song "Yertle the Turtle" (:
The turtle is magnificent, as is the coral.
It's great to see life underwater again this Wednesday.
Our WW is a bit dryer this week...
Related to the survivor, I wonder? Guess not since it is a different species. Nice shot.
Happy WW!
Oh wow ! is that ever beautiful !!! Such views remind me of the Red sea in Egypt !
Nice Hawksbill shot. I saw a few of them while I was in Sipadan a few years back. Happy WW!
Wow Bobbie I always know I'm going to see something marvellous here. Another magnificent photo! Happy WW
Beautiful. I love underwater and reef photography. Were you diving?
I posted a bunch of photos of Red Sea aquatic life for last week's WW, but they were taken at the underwater observatory.
That fellow has a marvelous profile. Thanks for taking his portrait!
Wonderful picture! How cool to be able to get those shots! Enjoy your day!

Another magnificent photo. I always look forward to your undersea perspectives!
Oh, that's great!
It looks like he/she is just resting in an octopus' garden, in the shade.
Lovely shot, with nice textural contrast!
Stunning WW and I just love your Turtles . . . maybe one day I will see one!

Thank you all for visiting and for your nice comments.
@ CK - You are one of the few people I know who actually has been to Pulau Sipadan, but I suppose for you it's not such a long trip as it is for us.
@ Robin and Mama Grizzly - Yes, I was scuba diving when I took the picture.

What a fabulous photo and a great blog! I am glad you stumbled mine though WW! You blog opens up a whole new world. Will be back for sure! Have a great day!
Hi Bobby, this is quite a nice looking turtle. It is good to see all the sea creatures that you find. It makes me more aware of Mother Nature's little friends.
Happy (late) WW! Thanks for the wake up too, I am under seven guns for the next three weeks.
..
There is something about turtles that is so appealing. Maybe because they look very wise and friendly.
Beautiful shot, amazing creature.
That looks like the turtle that had a near miss with the shark or whatever. Striking colors, how do you do that?
Thanks for stopping by my site. :)
Bobbie, I love your turtle. I have a turtle to post for Photo Hunters tomorrow. However, the turtle is in an aquarium at Coney Island, NY. I'm glad you liked the "chapeau" as you call it on my ballerina. I think it looks like a bathing cap from years ago! Ha! :) Say hello to Jerry!
Where does our fascination for the turtles come from? Any anwser, Bobbie? Great shot, as always. Aloha, Pua
I agree with those of you who mentioned a fascination for sea turtles. I'm always happy to see them in the water or on the beach, but I don't have an explanation for why they seem so compelling. Maybe, as Daisy said, it's because they look wise and friendly -- certainly they never seem threatening.
