Even though I can clearly see the turtle, his colors and patterns do blend in with the surroundings quite well.

Is this related to your previous post about the Turtle Cave?

Here's a lucky sea turtle that survived being munched by a shark. If only she could talk! I'll bet she could tell quite a tale about the day the shark took a bite out of her. I took the photo at Sipadan Island, Malaysia.

Happy Wordless Wednesday.

I think we are luckier to have a glimpse of the turtle which survived. Thanks for sharing. :)

It is amazing it survived. I think sea turtles are my favorite sea animal. I got quite sunburned in South Texas once watching a turtle surface in the same spot of the jetties every 6-8 minutes. I watched for hours with out realizing how much time had gone by.

Wow, that is one tough turtle. Another symbol to put in my "turtle" repository.

The clarity of your photos is amazing! I love your work, seriously. Good thing that turtle was fast enough to get away.ubv

Oh wow. The design on her shell is so interesting. I wonder how she got away from a shark.

Yes, your turtle find is a very lucky lady(?). I am amazed at all the places you go!
Thanks for peeking in at Amber. She likes to sleep like that.

It is hard to know for sure the size of the turtle. How big is it? Now it just better stay out of caves!

Happy WW!

You take such beautiful pics...wow. Happy WW and thanks for stopping by:)

Thanks to all of our Wordless Wednesday friends for visiting and commenting.

Will asked how big this turtle was. This was an average-sized adult -- the carapace (top shell) would have measured about two and a half feet in length (roughly 75 cm).
