Here's a lucky sea turtle that survived being munched by a shark. If only she could talk! I'll bet she could tell quite a tale about the day the shark took a bite out of her. I took the photo at Sipadan Island, Malaysia.
It is amazing it survived. I think sea turtles are my favorite sea animal. I got quite sunburned in South Texas once watching a turtle surface in the same spot of the jetties every 6-8 minutes. I watched for hours with out realizing how much time had gone by.

Will asked how big this turtle was. This was an average-sized adult -- the carapace (top shell) would have measured about two and a half feet in length (roughly 75 cm).
The Right Blue refers to the goal of a lifelong pursuit. Sea water viewed from beneath the surface comes in many hues and shades. Surfers wait for the perfect wave; divers seek the right blue.

Even though I can clearly see the turtle, his colors and patterns do blend in with the surroundings quite well.
Is this related to your previous post about the Turtle Cave?

Oh wow. The design on her shell is so interesting. I wonder how she got away from a shark.
