I live on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii's Big Island, and my back garden faces west -- great for watching sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. I took this shot a few weeks ago. The colors suggested that it would be great for a Wordless Wednesday post on The Right Blue.
You finally came up for air! :-) This is beautiful. By the way, I've been meaning to say that I appreciate your leaving the first comment giving some background about your photos. I may start doing that too...
What a beautiful sunset! One of these days I am going to have to visit my niece in Hawaii, your pictures (and hers) are so pretty! Thanks for visiting cyberbones. The chalkboard was actually the driveway of our temporary housing where we stayed in Virginia awaiting our move to Jakarta. The kids could amuse themselves for hours with a bucket of chalk. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, my husband and I were away celebrating our anniversary.
Below is a link to a "blue sunset". This was at the end of a "blue day", which of course started of with a "blue sunrise" (you can view the sunrise by clicking on the "Daily Sunrise" tab). Anyone know what makes the blue color?
The Right Blue refers to the goal of a lifelong pursuit. Sea water viewed from beneath the surface comes in many hues and shades. Surfers wait for the perfect wave; divers seek the right blue.
